Place is important to God.
Ps 27:5 For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.
Ps 91:1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
His pavilion: His hedge, His lair, His covert tabernacle.
Secret place: A place of shelter. A place of covering. A hiding place
Isa 26:20 Come, my people, enter your chambers, And shut your doors behind you; Hide yourself, as it were, for a little moment, Until the indignation is past.
Chambers: inner most parts, enclosed, a palour, a bed chamber.
Mt 6:6 "But you, when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly.
Your Father who is in the hidden, concealed place.
Everywhere we have lived, I have longer for a secret place. A place where every time, every day that I come, I come expecting to meet with Jesus.
• Over time I have had many.
• My first one was a park bench that Beccy brought me for our garden in our second year of marriage.
• Then we moved and I had a basement.
• In our next home I built a study and play room for the kids.
But since I have been traveling for the last 5 years I have longed and hungered for another spot. I have used Starbucks and ihop because they were what I had in various places all over the world. I have been praying with a friend for God to make a way for the last five years for a retreat, a study a secret place that I could consecrate to Him. A place that I could dedicate to meet with Him on a daily basis.
I was in Indian last year preaching at an Eden Worship Center for Pastor Harold. The pastor learnt of my dream and presented me with the greatest gift I have ever been given in my ministry and possibly the greatest I shall ever be given.
Their Eldership got together and decided that they would not only raise a team to send and build me a secret place, but pay for it as a missionary offering. A total of 17 people came down for a total of 10 days and what a job they did!

Friends, it is beautiful.
The pictures don’t do it justice.
I have still to landscape it and put my books and desk in there, but it is wonderful.
A place where I can read, pray, dream and write.
Any book, any sermon, any anointing that I get in the next 60 years will come out of that little building.
Out the back will be a garden where I can sit and pray for a visitation of God, out the front is a deck where I can have coffee with the Holy Ghost and discuss His plans for world wide revolution.
Still when I think about there gift I have trouble containing my emotions, even now as I write, I find it hard.
I will never be able to say thank you enough
So…thank you again.

Everybody pitched in. Here is Laura staining the cedar.

Britt and Dan loved the heights, but was a spin out to me was to watch the 3 kids toss shingles while their Dad nailed them to the roof, all four up there at once. Laura smiled, Beccy freaked out!!

It was a great opportunity for our kids to play together. Mind you I think Little Britt and Amy fought more than played…. but that is toddlers for you!

Dan did spend most of his time sawing and talking on the phone - you could tell it wasn’t a union job.
