Ecc 11:6
In the morning sow your seed, And in the evening do not withhold your hand; For you do not know which will prosper, Either this or that, Or whether both alike will be good.
Sometimes we get so filled with anxiety about what is the perfect will of God, What should I be doing, how should I be doing…
I talk with Pastors and leaders all the time and they wonder if they are doing the right thing for their organizations.
There is nothing wrong with trying a new idea, what is dumb is sticking with something that obviously doesn’t work!

Leonard Ravenhill:
And there is no room for Him in the inn.
He got a bit older, there was no room in His family, His family turned on Him.
He went to the temple, no room in the temple, the temple turned on Him.
And when He died there was no room to bury Him, He died outside the city.
Then why do we, if we are truly living passionate lives for Christ, how can we possibly believe or hope to be accepted everywhere? How is that the world couldn’t get on with the Holiest man that ever lived and yet it can get on with us, look at us, love us and accept us.
Are we compromised? Have we compromised our lifestyle, our language, our spiritual walk all to be accepted by those that hate our Lord and savior?
Do we have no spiritual stature?
Have we no righteousness that reflects their corruption?

Went well
I taught on The Role of a Father and Keys to Raising Children
Well received. Lots of young parents.. soon to be parents… parents who wish they had heard this stuff years ago!
The family is the starting place of our leadership training. Spend your time and energy learning the lessons to lead your family and you will qualify yourself to lead others.
Disqualify yourself, or stay ill-equipped in the home and you disqualify yourself from effectively leading others.

“Brokeback Mountain,” the controversial “gay cowboy” film that has earned seven Golden Globe nominations and breathless media reviews – and has now emerged as a front-runner for the Oscars – is a brilliant propaganda film, reportedly causing viewers to change the way they feel about homosexual relationships and same-sex marriage.
And how do the movie-makers pull off such a dazzling feat? Simple. They do it by raping the “Marlboro Man,” that revered American symbol of rugged individualism and masculinity.
We all know the Marlboro Man. In The Marketing of Evil, I show how the Philip Morris Company made marketing history by taking one of the most positive American images of all time – the cowboy – and attaching it to a negative, death-oriented product – cigarettes.
Hit the pause button for a moment so this idea can completely sink in: Cigarette marketers cleverly attached, in the public mind, two utterly unrelated things: 1) the American cowboy, with all of the powerful feelings that’s image evokes in us, of independence, self-confidence, wide-open spaces and authentic Americanism, and 2) cigarettes, a stinky, health-destroying waste of money. This legendary advertising campaign targeting men succeeded in transforming market underdog Marlboro (up until then, sold as a women’s cigarette with the slogan “Mild as May”) into the world’s best-selling cigarettes.
It was all part of the modern marketing revolution, which meant that, instead of touting a product’s actual benefits, marketers instead would psychologically manipulate the public by associating their product with the fulfillment of people’s deepest, unconscious needs and desires. (Want to sell liquor? Put a seductive woman in the ad.) Obviously, the marketers could never actually deliver on that promise – but emotional manipulation sure is an effective way to sell a lot of products.
The “Marlboro Man” campaign launched 50 years ago. Today, the powerful cowboy image is being used to sell us on another self-destructive product: homosexual sex and “gay” marriage.

It is 4:57am and the temperature is already up to 76 degrees - looks like summer is here finally in Texas.
I am sitting here with my coffee and about to start my study for the day reflecting on the last week (Beccy and the kids brought me this great little machine, a Senseo, AWESOME coffee machine.)
Sunday went well.
It was Easter, we had 29 adults and 9 kids to the Supernatural Sunday Night Service. One of those things. It is Easter, and Easter has become more about beer and sports than Jesus Christ, but we will change peoples hearts and lives over time and there view of the celebration of christian rituals and important events.
But the glory of the service.
The accuracy of the word of Knowledge
The prayer meeting with the leadership team beforehand reminded me of Hillsong in the early days. Reminded me of the prayer meetings we use to see in our youth meetings.
The worship was profound. Last week it was excellent, the musicians Scott pulled together were great, but this week, it was us. it was powerful.
We are hiring children workers at the moment to help people so they can come and get ministered to - believing for the right person with a passion for what we do to come along.
I am so proud of how far my team/staff have come. From a group who have only experienced jaded western Christianity to a group of people who are falling more and more in love with Jesus Christ and are passionate for the expansion of His kingdom.
I will be going for breakfast at Cassandra’s in Keller TX 8am sat morning if anyone wants to come. email joni if you need directions and want to spend an hour catching up

So i am sitting outside my shed praying and notice in the vacant land behind us something drop out of a tree.

I look, and it is a Texas Rough Green Snake.
I call Beccy. She comes down with the kids.
SHE scales the 8 foot fence, grabs it by the tail, stops it wrapping around her arm and passed it through to me.
Now this thing (it is only little, about 2 foot long) has wrapped itself around the fence. The kids are screaming, the dog is barking and trying to bite it in two, Beccy is stuck on top of the fence, Amy is trying to pat it, Noah is trying to save us all with a 4 foot stick which has become a light saber and Jessica is running around with a tissue box which is the closest thing we could find to hold it in.
Beccy is now in the house building temporary living quarters for the latest family member… and you think you have got family issues - I live with her!
She has decided that for a home school project the kids shall now learn about snakes!
I love this girl!
P.S. NEWS FLASH : Any one got could plans for a snake house - apparently it has been mandate as my responsibility to accommodate the little bugger in something other than a Kleenex box ;-)?

Down through history it has always been harder for warriors to exist in times of peace instead of times of war.Warriors are designed for battle, wired for conflict and enjoy the possibility of death that engagement brings. Times of peace offer none of that. So they languish and look for skirmishes
I am Wired for war. Wired for the conflict. Wired to take on enemies. I find it hard in times of prosperity and success not to ‘go looking’ for an enemy instead of enjoying the peace.
I take on new projects of insurmountable size. New challenges that others might shrink from all because I want to be engaged in the warfare of the kingdom.
I want to redeem the time and reclaim the land.
Every since I was first saved, I took this ‘expanding the kingdom of God’ stuff personally. I see His kingdom eroded by unseen forces daily and I take exception to it. I ache for “His Kingdom come, His will be done” HERE, NOW, TODAY.
A church that is introverted will be filled with politics and scheming. A church that is kingdom minded will be full of old warriors with war stories looking for new battles.
I know what i would rather be a part of.
I talk about a new definition of church and what church is suppose to be as opposed to what it has become in my latest podcast in the pulpit series.
